Are Decision-Making Styles, Locus of Control, and Average Grades in Exams Correlated with Procrastination in University Students?

In this paper decision-making styles, locus of control, and average grades in exams are examined as correlates procrastination a sample 185 university students (mainly female students) recruited from mandatory courses for degrees psychology pedagogy at the University Catania (Italy). Method: We used Decisional Procrastination Scale (Ferrari, Johnson, & McCown, 1995), consisting five Likert-type items useful analyzing procrastination; Decision-Making Styles (Di Nuovo Magnano, 2013), chosen measuring doubtfulness, delay, proxy, no problem styles with 15 items; Locus Control Behavior (Craig, Franklin, Andrews, 1984) to evaluate internal external loci control. The data were gathered through an online anonymous questionnaire analyzed using multiple linear regression model assess how decision-making, affect decision procrastinate students. main findings study indicate that doubtfulness delay correlate high decisional together low exams. control is excluded by proposed model. Conclusions: These suggest pursuing deeper investigation various types measures academic achievement
